Loss and love – a resonance (remembering those who were here, but alas, no more)

A shadow veils the sunlit room,
Echoes linger of laughter now gloom.
Once radiant colors, now dulled and gray,
An emblem of the joy, whisked away.

Love that flowed like a vibrant river,
Now a mere memory that makes hearts quiver.
The smiles, the touches, the words unsaid,
Silent echoes in the chambers of dread.

Yet, within the realm of sorrow's night,
Flickers a solitary beacon of light.
For the depths of loss reflect love's cost,
An echo of a connection, never truly lost.

In the mirror of absence, we truly see,
The depth of love's vast, boundless sea.
The pain, the ache, the void immense,
Loss, the cruel consequence of love intense.

So let us mourn, let tears freely flow,
In loss, love's deepest hue we know.
With every sunset's crimson kiss,
We find strength, even in the abyss.

In loss we learn, in loss we grow,
In heart's winter, love's seeds we sow.
And come the dawn, when tears are past,
Love remains, it holds steadfast.
