A day, a year, a century
\nAnother measure of time is now just a memory<\/p>\n
Yesterday’s fears, hopes and questions
\nAre now just subjects of future diversions<\/p>\n
A year later, are we prodigious?
\nDid that midnight moment enlighten us?<\/p>\n
Does nature not celebrate around us?
\nIf not, why are those birds and flowers so joyous?<\/p>\n
So, lessons learnt, stride on,
\nThe world awaits our greatness, and time, like a curmudgeon<\/p>\n
Bears on, forward, as any inexorable metronome
\nBut nature, the great mother, is ever awaiting her own<\/p>\n
Seed, you, me, every one and everything
\nTo fulfil the promise of our existence and being<\/p>\n
So onward and forward, fulfil your potential
\nAnd joy to all as we learn and celebrate our collective arrival!<\/p>\n
