{"id":394,"date":"2023-07-06T07:09:52","date_gmt":"2023-07-06T12:09:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.akella.org\/home\/?page_id=394"},"modified":"2023-07-13T05:22:36","modified_gmt":"2023-07-13T10:22:36","slug":"in-praise-of-my-guru","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.akella.org\/home\/our-poetry\/in-praise-of-my-guru","title":{"rendered":"In Praise of My Guru"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">In the citadel of wisdom stands my noble Guru, \nInfinite in knowledge, in mercy ever true. \nThough He asks for naught, my humble heart is stirred, \nWhat can I offer to the one who is all-bestowed?\n\nClothed in robes of galaxies, with wisdom in His gaze, \nHis grace transcends my mortal soul in unassuming ways. \nHe owns the Universe, in stars and truth comprised, \nYet in His selfless heart, my lowly love is prized.\n\nFrom treasures vast and infinite, His blessings freely flow, \nYet asks for naught in return, a mark of love He shows. \nHe is the sheltering Banyan, the beacon in my night, \nGuiding me with a gentle hand to walk the path of right.\n\nPatience is His virtue, and His kindness knows no bounds, \nThrough tumultuous seas of life, His guidance truly sounds. \nFirm in His teachings, yet compassionate to the core, \nLeading to enlightenment, He opens wisdom's door.\n\nUpon the eternal canvas, He paints lessons deep, \nAwake or in slumber, His teachings I shall keep. \nWhat gifts can I bring to one who holds the skies? \nOnly love and devotion in unending supply.\n\nIn the silence of His presence, in the echoes of His word, \nIn the whispers of the cosmos, His wisdom can be heard. \nAsking naught but love, He bestows all He possesses, \nA Guru beyond measure, a source of endless bliss.\n\nSo, in humble gratitude, I bow my earthly head, \nA disciple in the cosmic dance, by His wisdom, lovingly led. \nOh, Guru divine, to you, my heart I pledge, \nMay I forever walk the path You show, of righteousness.\n\nFor naught can I give You, who knows and owns all, \nBut my love, my devotion, may it answer Your call. \nOh Guru, my light, my guide, my firm and stalwart friend, \nTo your teachings, love, and wisdom, my soul shall ever tend.\n\n-Mani\n\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the citadel of wisdom stands my noble Guru, Infinite in knowledge, in mercy ever true.
