{"id":536,"date":"2023-07-12T17:20:01","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T22:20:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.akella.org\/home\/?page_id=536"},"modified":"2023-07-12T17:20:02","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T22:20:02","slug":"big-versus-small-is-it-relevant","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.akella.org\/home\/our-poetry\/big-versus-small-is-it-relevant","title":{"rendered":"Big versus small &#8211; is it relevant?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">In a summer's radiant glow, they met,\nAn ear of corn and a blade of grass, beset.\nA curious corn, reaching out with a voice,\nSeeking answers from the green one, a choice.\n\n\"What do you contribute, oh blade so fine?\nWhile I bear kernels, a treasure divine.\nWithin me, energy and sustenance reside,\nTo nourish souls and fill them with pride.\"\n\nThe blade of grass, gentle in reply,\nWith roots deep below, where meanings lie,\nSaid, \"I am here, binding the earth with my grace,\nCreating space for you to find your place.\n\n\"My purpose, dear corn, may differ from yours,\nYet we belong to nature's embrace, allures.\nAre we not kin, in the grand tapestry of green,\nUniquely shaped but with a shared sheen?\n\n\"You see, dear friend, we both serve a role,\nTo nourish and sustain, in our humble stroll.\nYou provide sustenance, a feast to bestow,\nAnd I create a foundation for you to grow.\n\n\"So let not our differences bring us apart,\nFor together, we weave life's delicate art.\nIn unity, we flourish, serving the grand plan,\nA harmonious symphony, orchestrated by nature's hand.\"\n\nAnd so, the ear of corn listened with delight,\nEmbracing the wisdom, like a ray of light.\nFor in that sunny moment, they came to see,\nThey were part of a greater purpose, wild and free.\n\nThe corn, proud of its kernels, golden and bright,\nAppreciated the grass, humble and slight.\nFor in their hearts, they held a shared refrain,\nTo serve others, their purpose to sustain.\n\nIn the realm of nature, where beauty does thrive,\nCorn and grass, their destinies did contrive.\nBound by a common thread, woven in their core,\nThey danced together, serving forevermore.\n\n-<em>Mani<\/em><\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a summer&#8217;s radiant glow, they met, An ear of corn and a blade of grass, beset.
