But it took a trip to the place to make me realize the real intent behind those warnings. Shade temperatures are still hotter than most places I have visited in the daytime, and any mild breeze makes it worse! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Waking out and then rushing back into a cool (air-conditioned) room is a horrible experience if repeated more than a couple of times &#8211; the body faces temperature differences of at least 40 degrees Fahrenheit (outside = 115F, inside = 70F). The human body is not designed to cope with such radical changes continuously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I touched the pavement with my bare hand &#8211; it felt like I had put my palm on a hot plate! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So &#8211; simple advice &#8211; stay away until the temperatures get better &#8211; unless you cannot avoid it.
