Stepping away for a while seemed so fun and easy
\nTill I had to start the journey and walk the walk
\nNothing had prepared for this separation \u2013 so crazy
\nNot being in my comfort zone \u2013 the new world a shock.<\/p>\n
Each step that separates is getting slower \u2013 am I lazy?
\nOr is it innate fear of the unknown \u2013 knock, knock?
\nThis was what I was intended to do, right? Or was I dreamy?
\nReality is so different \u2013 as cloud from the hard rock.<\/p>\n
I see now that growing up I did not do right \u2013 I remained dreamy
\nFor had I prepared I would have stiffened my spine and stock
\nLife is not a drink from the fountain of pleasure so fizzy
\nIt is to be hewn from with sweat from experience, the rock.<\/p>\n
To be the pioneer needs to be the one always ready \u2013 not hazy
\nTo be able to come back means to step away with purpose \u2013 not mock
\nTo achieve requires to have purpose \u2013 not a job for the pansy
\nTo sally forth means to have a lifetime of preparedness \u2013 not ad hoc.<\/p>\n
So now I stop and start to learn, making up for lost folly
\nUsing wisdom to overcome what might have been easy with youth\u2019s stock
\nThis time I will be better prepared as forward I sally,
