Teachers have compounded this by\ngrading the student as \u201cknowledge-able\u201d on receiving proof that the student can\nregurgitate the learning, sans understanding of the underlying thought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To read once is\nto get introduced. To be taught by a teacher is to be given an overview of the\nunderlying data. To review is to ensure that this knowledge is appropriately\nstored by the mind. But it requires repeated application and mergence with\nother knowledge for the knowledge to begin the journey to true wisdom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>True wisdom\nbegins to emerge when we recognize the gap between our knowledge and the ocean\nof wisdom that so very greatly overwhelms this little pool of knowledge.\nKnowledge of the gap allows us to discard false pretenses and open ourselves to\nthe true acquisition of understanding \u2013 which is when we step into the world of\nthe wise!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cTo know that you do not know is the best.
