My understanding:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kabir, in his timeless wisdom, urges us to recognize authentic affection when it appears \u2014 to run toward those who offer love freely, with no conditions, no masks. In contrast, he warns against those who keep emotional distance or hide their true selves \u2014 their presence brings harm, confusion, or dissonance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oprah echoes this centuries later, reminding us that our circle should be composed of those who elevate us, who meet us with genuine presence and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there\u2019s another dimension here \u2014 one not just about others, but about ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must not only seek authenticity in others \u2014 we must become it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
