Drifting – is it another name for one person’s purposefulness ?

Days flow into nights, weeks into months, and time inexorably keeps up its measured march forward. Children grow up, parents become grandparents, and fresh youth opens eyes in wonder to a brand new world.

Age and experience complain bitterly even as youth gurgles in evident joy. Experience teaches me that they will learn – give them time: age tells me that time is one thing they will always be short of.

The parent in me wants to prevent anything bad from happening to them – the adult in me tells me that that is the only way they will learn.

And by the time I resolve this apparent conflict in myself, my time , invariably, is up 🙂

So I now pray for God to give all humanity the wisdom to be patient, and the patience to acquire the right wisdom.
