Imagination, confusion and peace!

Posted on September 11, 2008September 11, 2008 by mani

Wandering down a lush tree-lined grove,
Wondering at the magic of the change of season –
Summer, heating up life in its stove
Winter, preserving, cooling, making way for reason –

Rash thought, sanguine reason, all collide
Mixed in with birdsong and teeming life surrounding all
This world, this society, this life, all so satisfied
And yet subject to instant separation – is there not a cure-all?

Sweet words, harsh beliefs, deliberate signs,
War and death, walking hand in hand with peace and the new-born
Life in a microcosm – a garden in bloom – it all aligns
The miracle of existense – the wonder of each new morn.

Philosophers come and go, explaining this quandary,
The ordinary everyday human have their explanations too
No one, no exception, has scratched the surface but barely
What to believe, what to pursue?

An hour holds, in its fold, more magic, more discovery
Than a mind can unfold in an eternity
Each minute, full of mystery, yet so airy
A repeated moment, a repeated story – life’s ditty!

Moral? Right? Correct? Applicable? Nah – that is more
Than this world can make me hold – I survive
Each moment, my experience is my oar
As I navigate time, each moment, my aim – stay alive!

If answers I sought, it was to generate the question next
Tangled threads are so much more pleasureable than organized spools
Confusion that leads to clarity, and allows for missed context
Opens more vistas than a life of rules.

Walk now so we may run tomorrow,
Knowing not if the run is in a bog or meadow
Focussed on the run, do not give the bog a deathblow
For what the minds seeks, may be in neither, but the credo

Thank you, dear traveller, for joining my tail-chase,
A shared moment, a life no longer in vain-
This glory, the spotlight – now in your showcase
Each moment, a new wonder – and a new coxswain!
